Spring is an exciting time in the arts, culture and history scene of Golden Plains Shire and the region. Below are some of the arts events you can get involved in or attend over the next two months.
In celebration of World Food Day 2018 (Tuesday 16 October), Smart Living Ballarat presents a free mini forum to discuss the topic 'Local Food: Sharing & Caring'. Representatives from local food distribution and service groups will discuss why the food movement is both unstoppable and important in Ballarat.
Council will commence important bridge works in the near future to improve public safety.
Sharps Road, Lethbridge
This project involves the installation of a VicRoads-approved bridge barrier, which will improve safety for all motorists using the single-lane bridge.
The summer fire season is upon us, and there is lots of long grass around the municipality causing residents to ask some good questions about how Council is preparing for the warmer, drier months.
Fire Action Week, 7 - 14 October, is Victoria’s annual fire planning and preparation awareness week and Golden Plains Shire residents are encouraged to make sure they understand the risks, and get some key safety tips, for the upcoming fire season.
Sustainable House Day is being held across our region on Sunday 14 October and an amazing Teesdale home is one of the featured properties.
