Due to the COVID-19 (Coronavirus) pandemic, all playgrounds, skate and bike parks, campgrounds and a number of other Council locations in Golden Plains are now closed until further notice.
Council provides important services to a number of elderly and vulnerable residents, and its Active Ageing & Disability team is making sure they are not forgotten during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The March Ordinary Meeting of Council for 2020 went ahead at the changed location of the Bannockburn Cultural Centre last night, Tuesday 24 March, with all Councillors except Cr Joanne Gilbert in attendance.
In response to a request from the Inverleigh Police and local Fire Brigade, Golden Plains Shire Council has implemented a ban on all campfires during the declared Fire Danger Period at Inverleigh’s Barwon-Leigh Junction Reserve.
Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, the next Ordinary Meeting of Council on Tuesday 24 March at 6pm has been relocated to the Bannockburn Cultural Centre, 27 High Street. It was previously planned for the Linton Customer Service Centre, 68 Sussex Street.
