Golden Plains Shire Council has launched a new grant program to help the community respond to the changes brought by the COVID-19 pandemic, following the easing of restrictions for events late last year.

Due to one of Cleanaway’s collection trucks breaking down earlier today, the recycling bins at around 150 houses in and around Linton were unable to be collected.

Residents and members of the public are welcome to attend meetings of Council which are held on the fourth Tuesday of each month at 6pm, with the exception of the meeting on the third Tuesday in January and December.
This year, Council Meetings will be held on the following Tuesdays:

On Monday 4 January, Agriculture Victoria announced further changes to avian influenza restrictions in Golden Plains Shire.

A section of Common Road between Gregory Drive and Teesdale-Inverleigh Road in Inverleigh will be closed to traffic from Monday 18 January, 2021 to Friday 5 March, 2021.

Golden Plains Shire Council's Customer Service Centres in Smythesdale and Bannockburn reopened at 8.30am this morning, following the Christmas and New Year break. The Customer Service team is ready to help with all your Council enquiries in 2021 from 8.30am to 5pm each week day.
