Applications open Thursday 1 April for the first round of Golden Plains Shire Council’s Community Strengthening Grants Program 2021.
Grants of up to $10,000 are available in four categories:
Golden Plains Shire Council will have altered hours during the Easter holiday period.
Council’s Customer Service Centres and officers in Bannockburn and Smythesdale will close at 5pm, Thursday 1 April and re-open at 8.30am on Tuesday, 6 April.
At last night’s Council Meeting, Golden Plains Shire Council endorsed its draft Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) and a new Flag Policy that will see the Torres Strait Islander flag fly alongside the Australian and Aboriginal flags.
The Fire Danger Period will officially end in Golden Plains Shire at 1am, Tuesday 6 April, 2021, after the Easter holiday period.
The Fire Danger Period remains in place over Easter, and residents are reminded that fires in the open air will remain restricted for the long weekend.
