Golden Plains Shire Council is thrilled to host the Battle of the Bands competition on Saturday 21 March from 4 to 7pm at Turtle Bend Reserve in Teesdale.
Battle of the Bands is a competition featuring dynamic performances from emerging young artists aged 12 to 25 across Golden Plains Shire who represent a wide range of genres.
The event will showcase headliners and 2025 winners The Apples, alongside competing bands The Bypassers, Caught in the Crossfire, Venus Half Shell, Grumble and Gatling. Soloist Lucy Grazules will open the competition.
Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Owen Sharkey encouraged community members to attend the event.
Battle of the Bands is the biggest live free music competition in Golden Plains. Each year, the competition gets bigger and better, and we can’t wait to welcome our local bands to battle it out on the centre stage.
I encourage everyone from across the Shire to come along, enjoy an evening of outstanding live music, and celebrate the remarkable talent we have in our community. Events like this remind us how vibrant and creative our region truly is, and they give our emerging artists a chance to shine on a bigger stage. It’s always a pleasure to see our community come together in support of local performers, and I look forward to sharing this fantastic night with you all.
This Battle of the Bands event is an initiative of Fuse, a crew of passionate young people from across the Shire who bring bold, youth-led ideas to life. Supported by the Victorian Government’s Amplify program, Fuse gives young people aged 12 to 25 the chance to step up, get creative, and design events that are fun, inclusive and local.
Food options will be available at the event. To register to attend, visit goldenplains.vic.gov.au/events. This is a free ticketed event with tickets available through Eventbrite.
