The State Government is introducing a ban on lightweight plastic shopping bags from 1 November 2019.
From next month, plastic shopping bags with a thickness of 35 microns or less will be banned. This includes degradable, biodegradable and compostable plastic shopping bags.
Following the Best Value Review, Council will move forward to undertake consultation that explores future management options of the long day care service at Bannockburn Children’s Service (BCS).
