Golden Plains Shire Council has welcomed the recent $1.89 million announcement that the Federal and Victorian Governments will upgrade a section of Colac-Ballarat Road.

This morning, the Victorian Government announced the lifting of the current Stage 4 lockdown from 11.59pm tonight, Wednesday 17 February, 2021. A number of restrictions will remain in place, and Council encourages all community members to read and follow these restrictions:

Upgrade works were recently completed on playgrounds in Rokewood and Dereel, ready for families to again enjoy the popular facilities.

Geggies Road Bridge in Rokewood will close next week to allow construction to begin on the replacement of the old bridge.

The Victorian Government has announced all of Victoria including Golden Plains Shire Council will move to Stage 4 Restrictions from 11.59pm, Friday 12 February, 2021 until 11.59pm, Wednesday 17 February, 2021.

Golden Plains Shire Council would like to inform residents that they may receive a call from an independent market research agency, National Field Services, inviting them to complete the annual Community Satisfaction Survey, from Friday 12 February to early March.

In line with Council’s commitment to community consultation, Councillors will hold an online conversation post this evening.

Following last year’s Golden Plains Shire Council Election, eligible voters who did not vote will soon receive a letter from the Victorian Electoral Commission (VEC).

Council is committed to engaging with residents on decisions that affect their lives, and public consultation on a number of projects wrapped up in January.
