Council is hosting a series of free activities for young people aged 12 to 25 years throughout the upcoming Autumn School Holidays, with exciting activities running from Tuesday 7 April to Thursday 16 April 2026.
The free school holiday activities have been designed to support the needs and interests of young people, while also providing opportunities to learn new skills and connect with other young people. There are a variety of activities catering to different interests and abilities.
The full list of school holiday activities available are:
Week one:
- Tuesday 7 April, 1 to 3.30pm – Timber Time (Men’s Shed, Bannockburn)
- Wednesday 8 April, 10am to 4pm – Mount Elephant Volcano Walk (Bus departing from Smythesdale, Scarsdale and Linton)
- Thursday 9 April, 12 to 3pm – Pasta Making (Golden Plains Youth Hub, Bannockburn)
Week two:
- Tuesday 14 April, 11am to 2pm – BBQ Pop-up (Turtle Bend Reserve, Teesdale)
- Thursday 16 April, 9.30am to 1.30pm – Paintball (Departing from Golden Plains Youth Hub, Bannockburn)
Please note – tickets for the Autumn Holiday Program will be available from 7pm on Monday 16 March 2026.

Activities may change or be cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances. Additional activities may also be added later or offered in place of cancelled sessions. Please keep an eye on the Golden Plains Youth social media pages for updates, as this is where changes will be posted. For booked activities, staff will get in touch with young people directly if anything changes.
