The Geelong Honours Them project will digitise World War One Honour Boards located across the Borough of Queenscliffe, City of Greater Geelong, Golden Plains Shire and Surf Coast Shire. World War One Honour Boards are located widely throughout our community.
As part of our Healthy Families Program, Council is holding another Family First Aid training session in Bannockburn. This program has run successfully in Golden Plains (including Smythesdale) three times.
Council is very pleased to announce the Bannockburn Men’s Shed is up and running, with the Certificate of Compliance provided to Council and lease agreements signed by all parties.
On Saturday 13 October, the Bannockburn Bush parkrun held its one year anniversary event, where close to 150 people either ran, volunteered, jogged, walked the course, or cheered the participants on. 14 of the participants were first-time attendees and 21 recorded new personal bests!
On Thursday 18 October, Member for Western Victoria, Gayle Tierney announced a $250,000 Community Sports Infrastructure Fund grant to deliver the Bannockburn & District Bowls Club Greens Upgrade.
