Golden Plains Shire Council is in caretaker mode during the Election Period from 12pm, Tuesday 22 September to 6pm, Saturday 24 October, 2020.

In October, Golden Plains Shire residents and ratepayers will elect seven Councillors to form the Council from 2020 to 2024.

In line with regional Victoria moving to Step Three of the Victorian Government’s reopening roadmap, a number of Council facilities have recently reopened.

The September Meeting of Council for 2020 was held via Zoom on Monday 21 September, with all Councillors in attendance. In line with new allowances from the Victorian Government due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was held virtually and livestreamed on Council’s YouTube page.

At 12pm tomorrow, Tuesday 22 September, Golden Plains Shire Council will enter the Election Period ahead of October’s Council Election.

Tonight's final Council Meeting of the 2016-2020 Council term will be held over Zoom, and as per recent meetings, will be livestreamed on Council's YouTube page.

Council’s Customer Service Centres at The Well in Smythesdale and the Golden Plains Civic Centre in Bannockburn will reopen for face-to-face customer service interactions on Monday 21 September, 2020.
