The Beautify Bannockburn group has been gardening in High Street since 2016.
An enthusiastic group of like-minded local gardeners requested permission to plant and maintain 10 garden beds along Hight Street, Bannockburn. With the support of Council and a $500 Community Strengthening Grant, the volunteer gardeners purchased a variety of plants, sourced cuttings from their own gardens and Beautify Bannockburn was created.
Since then, the group hassuccessfully planted and maintained over 20 garden beds in High Street, including in front of the Bannockburn Library. The garden beds include a variety of succulents and sea lavender plants.
The group gardens from 10 to 11 am on Friday mornings and the gardens along High Street in Bannockburn have added to the attractive look and feel of the town. This volunteering opportunity adds to the Bannockburn town landscape and helps foster a sense of connection and pride in our community.
Volunteering provides an opportunity to make new friends and contribute to the community. The Beautify Bannockburn group is in need of more volunteers to ensure that High Street Bannockburn continues to look beautiful.
