Eight Golden Plains Shire artists will share in $4,000 thanks to the second round of Council’s START Arts Grants program.
Council is working with the community to produce a new four year (2017-2021) Council Plan. The Plan will guide how Golden Plains Shire Council will deliver projects, facilities and services to make the Shire an even better place to live.

Because Fire Restrictions don’t apply until 19 December in Golden Plains Shire, residents may be tempted to light up their burn off pile to help clean up their property before summer really hits.

Council received 75 responses to the 2016 Golden Plains Business Survey. The survey gathered information to gauge the state of the Shire’s economy, businesses and industry, as well as guide Council’s future economic development activities and strategies.
Golden Plains Shire Council was delighted to receive an invitation from the Governor, Honourable Linda Dessau AM and His Honour Judge Anthony Howard to share in the decoration of the Government House Christmas Tree on Friday 2 December.
