Construction underway on second soccer pitch

Major Projects

Construction works recently got underway on the new second soccer pitch at the Bannockburn Recreation Precinct.

Earthworks are currently in full-swing on the Bannockburn Recreation Precinct Second Soccer Pitch project, which will see a new, full-size pitch added to the popular sporting precinct.

The new second oval follows other projects at the Recreation Precinct, including the construction of the first pitch, the club and change rooms, and the installation of lighting.

The project is funded by a $250,000 World Game Facilities Fund grant from the Victorian Government, and $234,000 from Golden Plains Shire Council. The grant is part of the Victorian Government’s 2018/19 World Game Facilities Fund, which assists local soccer clubs and organisations to develop new or upgrade existing facilities.
