At its August Meeting, Golden Plains Shire Council resolved to put the Draft Local Law No. 2 General Public Amenity out for public exhibition for residents to have their say.

Last week, Mayor Cr Owen Sharkey announced 40 well-deserving young residents of Golden Plains Shire would be recognised with Community Impact Awards as part of the Mayoral Youth Program 2019/20.

The August Meeting of Council for 2020 was held via Zoom last night, Tuesday 25 August, with all Councillors in attendance. In line with new allowances from the Victorian Government due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the meeting was held virtually and livestreamed on Council’s YouTube page.

Council’s updated COVID-19 Financial Hardship Policy will give significant rates relief to residents and businesses.
