The Bannockburn Men’s Shed is progressing well, which is great news for the many users waiting to make the most of the new facility.
Internal works are underway, with the electrical switchboard installed and the internal wiring installation currently in progress. The framework to the amenities and meeting room is significantly advanced and wall linings will soon follow. The external walls have seen the addition of an awning added to the northern facade with an additional window and entrance door arriving onsite for installation over the coming weeks.
Works are on track and on budget, which is pleasing given the inclement weather conditions.
Funding for this facility has come from a mix of grants that the Men's Shed Committee has obtained as well as from their own fundraising activities. To support the project, our Works team is project-managing it.
