Internet Connection

Nearly every home and business in Golden Plains has access to the National Broadband Network, but the way you connect isn’t always the same.

There are several possibilities:

  • Fixed-Wire Broadband – Common in built-up areas, this uses existing wired networks. You might hear terms like Fibre to the Premises (FTTP), Fibre to the Node (FTTN), or Fibre to the Curb (FTTC).
  • Fixed Wireless Broadband – Often used in regional and rural areas, this beams internet into homes and businesses via a network of towers.
  • Sky Muster Satellite Broadband – Designed for the most remote locations, this service delivers internet through satellites.

You may not have access to all these methods, but it’s very likely you can connect using at least one of them at a reasonable cost.

Other alternatives, such as Mobile Broadband and Starlink, may also be available depending on your location, requirements and budget.
