Update on new roundabouts

Major Projects
Bannockburn

Residents and travellers through Bannockburn will soon see progress on two new roundabouts in town.

Regional Roads Victoria is constructing roundabouts at two busy Bannockburn intersections: Shelford-Bannockburn Road, Kelly Road and Clyde Road, and Midland Highway and Clyde Road. The Australian and Victorian governments have allocated $9.7 million to deliver these needed upgrades.

Pre-construction works began late last year, with construction to get underway early this year on the long-awaited intersection near the railway line, and in mid-2021 at the intersection with the Midland Highway at the other end of Clyde Road.

Council has advocated strongly for these improvements and welcomes the news that works will get underway this year to deliver safer intersections for the Golden Plains Shire community.
