Council is hosting a series of free activities for young people aged 12 to 25 years throughout the upcoming Summer School Holidays, with exciting activities running from Tuesday 13 January to Thursday 22 January 2026.

The free school holiday activities held across the Shire have been designed to support the needs and interests of young people, while also providing opportunities to learn new skills and connect with other young people.

The full list of school holiday activities available are:

Week one:

  • Tuesday 13 January, 11am to 1pm – MasterChef “Mexican Feast and Games” (55 Ferrars Street, Rokewood).
  • Wednesday 14 January, 1 to 3.30pm – Digital Photography Workshop (Golden Plains Youth Hub, 132A Milton Street, Bannockburn).
  • Thursday 15 January, 9.30am to 4pm – Pool Party (Bus departing from Golden Plains Youth Hub, 132A Milton Street, Bannockburn).

Week two:

  • Tuesday 20 January, 1 to 3.30pm – Digital Photography Workshop (The Well, Multipurpose Room, 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale).
  • Thursday 22 January, 10am to 5pm – Scienceworks, Melbourne (Bus departing from Golden Plains Youth Hub, 132A Milton Street, Bannockburn).

Please note – tickets for the Summer Holiday Program will be available from 7pm on Monday 24 November.
