A Successful Night at the Twilight Market

Following a year with many disrupted and cancelled events, the Golden Plains Twilight Market was a great festive celebration for local residents and visitors.

A huge crowd filled the Bannockburn Heart for the fifth annual Twilight Market, with market-goers enjoying live music, great food and festive beverages while shopping in the sunshine.

Generously sponsored by Bannockburn & District Grants, Golden Plains Storage and Stockdale & Leggo Bannockburn, the Twilight Market is a great opportunity for locals to purchase farm fresh and home-made foods, as well as flowers, free range meats and bespoke gifts direct from the farmers, makers, artists and gourmet provedores of the Golden Plains region in the lead up to Christmas.

The Bannockburn Heart provided the perfect location for the Twilight Market, with children and families enjoying the playground and water play.

The Market also marked the beginning of the Spring in the Shire public exhibition, which launched at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre following an awards ceremony hosted by Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Gavin Gamble.

The Twilight Market is an extension of the popular monthly Golden Plains Farmers’ Market and we congratulate all staff involved in delivering another successful community event.

The Golden Plains Farmers’ Market will return in February next year, so make sure to mark the calendar with the 2022 market dates: 5 February, 5 March, 2 April, 7 May, 4 June, 2 July, 6 August, 3 September, 1 October, 5 November and 3 December. The 2022 Twilight Market will be held on Thursday 15 December.
