MIDLAND HIGHWAY UPGRADE PLANNING—BANNOCKBURN TO GEELONG

Roads & Transport

Residents are invited to have input into upgrade planning for the Midland Highway between Bannockburn and the Geelong Ring Road.

VicRoads, with State and Federal funding, is currently investigating options for upgrades—the goals are to improve safety, reduce congestion and traffic delays, and improve efficiency for freight vehicles.

Transport, land use and economic benefits of possible upgrades, including duplication will be investigated. Potential social and environmental impacts on local communities and road users will also be thoroughly investigated.

Consultation is an essential part of this process. VicRoads seeks input from residents to help them understand the existing situation and potential opportunities or issues associated with the proposed upgrades.
