The Faulkner, King and Argyle Park Flood Mitigation Works Project in Inverleigh has reached a significant milestone with Council awarding the tender for construction works at its 27 May Council meeting.
Works include lowering of the intersection, relocation of underground services, installation of a retaining wall on the Faulkner Road intersection with King Road, replacement of sections of footpath on Faulkner Road, reconstruction of open drains along Argyle Park Court and King Road, and replacement of driveway culverts to match new levels.
Council awarded the $1,226,423.50 contract to Wellam Constructions Pty Ltd to complete the works which will help mitigate flooding in the area.
The $1,226,423.50 project is fully funded by Golden Plains Shire Council under our drainage improvement program.
Works are expected to commence in the coming months once agreements are confirmed with service authorities.
