Council welcomes feedback on the Draft Council Plan 2025-2029 (the Draft Plan) which has been developed in consultation with our community and details the vision, goals and strategies to guide Council’s priority activities, decision making and service delivery over the next four-year period.
During 2024, community members and stakeholders were invited to contribute to the development of the Draft Plan through a range of engagement activities including: surveys, community Thinktank Sessions and community engagement activities at locations across the Shire.
Council endorsed the Draft Plan at its April Council Meeting, and the document is now on public exhibition from Thursday 1 May until 5pm, Wednesday 28 May 2025. The Draft Plan also incorporates the Municipal Public Health and Wellbeing Plan which focuses on improving the health and wellbeing of our community
Golden Plains Shire Council Acting Mayor Cr Helena Kirby encouraged community members to read the Draft Plan and provide feedback.
“The Council Plan is the foundation for everything we do, providing a roadmap that will guide how we serve our community over the next four years,” Cr Kirby said.
“The Draft Plan outlines our strategic focus through the Community Vision, strategic objectives, key priority initiatives and actions over the next four years. It is community-focused, reviewed annually, and includes measurable goals to track our progress. I encourage residents to read the Draft Plan to understand its objectives and provide feedback to ensure it reflects the needs and aspirations of the Golden Plains Shire community.”
