Golden Plains Shire Council is thrilled to announce that Expressions of Interest (EOI) are now open for the 2025 Golden Spaces Summer Exhibition.
Golden Spaces is a free, community-based program offering group art exhibitions across three locations: The Bannockburn Cultural Centre, The Well at Smythesdale and the Golden Plains Civic Centre.
This exciting initiative celebrates and promotes the talent of artists from across the Shire and surrounding regions, increases access to the arts for the community within a local setting, and provides professional development opportunities for both emerging and established artists.
Golden Spaces officially entered its second year with the launch of the 2025 Winter Exhibition on Saturday 7 June. The 2024 Summer Exhibition is also currently on display at The Well in Smythesdale.
Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Owen Sharkey encourages artists to submit their EOI to exhibit at Golden Spaces.
Golden Spaces is proving to be one of our most successful programs which is a true testament to the remarkable talent of artists who have exhibited their artwork so far, Cr Sharkey said.
I urge not only local artists, but artists in the surrounding regions of Golden Plains to apply to exhibit at the 2025 Summer Exhibition. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your portfolio and showcase your work in a professional setting.
EOI’s are open now until 5pm, Friday 29 August 2025. To submit an EOI, visit goldenplains.vic.gov.au/golden-spaces.
At the conclusion of the EOI period, successful artists will be notified later in the year, and the 2025 Summer Exhibition will be launched in December 2025. The exhibition will be on display for 12 months rotating between the Bannockburn Cultural Centre, The Well at Smythesdale and the Golden Plains Civic Centre.
