Catch Up on Council’s 16 Days of Activism Event

Tourism & Events

While the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence may have concluded last Thursday, it doesn't mean the work to prevent sexism and disrespect towards women is over for another year.

We can all play a part by promoting respect and equality to shift the attitudes and behaviours that drive violence against women.

Last Wednesday, community members were fortunate to be joined by comedian and author Nelly Thomas for Council’s 16 Days of Activism online event. Nelly shared her experience countering gender stereotypes, including through her children's books, and team members from Women's Health Grampians provided some practical tips on how to be an active bystander.

If you were unable to make it, the recording is now available below.
