Golden Plains Shire Council and Berrybank Wind Farm are once again partnering to deliver the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program in 2026. Applications for this year’s grants program will open on Friday 1 May and close at 2pm, Monday 1 June 2026.

The Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program provides funding opportunities to support local community and business groups for tourism, economic development and climate change projects in Golden Plains Shire. There is a grant pool of $75,000 available for this program in 2026.

Applicants are eligible to apply for grant funding in three categories:

  • Tourism
  • Economic Development
  • Climate Change

Applicants must seek funding for amounts exceeding $2,000. Multiple year applications are permissible for annual events or programs of up to 3 years.

Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Owen Sharkey said the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program plays a critical role in strengthening our community.

This program supports local community groups and business organisations to deliver worthwhile projects, programs and events to the community. Funding opportunities are in place to champion and celebrate our region and to help make a difference in our local communities, economy and environment.

I encourage potential applicants to read the guidelines and discuss your application with Council’s Community Grants team who are on hand to support you through the application process.
