Australia Day Community Events in Golden Plains

Local community groups from across Golden Plains Shire will be hosting COVID-Safe community events this Australia Day, Tuesday 26 January.

Events include flag raising ceremonies, breakfasts, and evening celebrations, where guests can get into the spirit of Australia Day and support their community, all while enjoying delicious country catering and a socially distanced chat!

Shelford

8 to 10am, Flag raising at Shelford Town Hall before breakfast at Shelford Cricket Club rotunda.
Gold coin donation.
BYO drinks, chairs, rug etc.

Smythesdale

8 to 10am, Historic Precinct, 69 Brooke Street, Smythesdale
$2.50 per person.
BYO cup, chair, rug etc.

Bannockburn

8.30 to 10.30am, Lions Park Bannockburn, Geelong Road, Bannockburn.

Teesdale

8 to 10am, Teesdale Public Hall, Shelford-Bannockburn Road, Teesdale.
Hosted by Leigh Valley Lions Club, Native Hut CWA and Teesdale Hall committee.

Linton

8 to 10am, Linton Recreation Reserve, off Glenelg Highway, Linton.
$5 Adults, Primary ages children free

Cape Clear

5pm, Cape Clear Lions Park,
BYO everything (food, drinks, chairs etc).

7.30 to 9am, Haddon Lions Park,
