Annual Report 2019-20 Out Now

General

At last week’s November Meeting, Council adopted the Golden Plains Shire Council Annual Report 2019-20.

Council’s Annual Report is not only a snapshot of the organisation in the 2019-20 financial year – it’s also an opportunity to let residents, communities and stakeholders know the steps Council is taking to ensure that Golden Plains Shire continues to grow and thrive into the future. It covers Council’s highlights and achievements, as well as reports on governance, Council’s finances and other key information.

The Golden Plains Shire Annual Report 2019-20 is available to view online and download here, and members of the public can also find a hard copy at Council’s Customer Service Centres at 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn and The Well, 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale.

In accordance with the Local Government Act, Council must prepare and adopt an Annual Report every financial year. The majority of the reporting requirements for the 2019-20 year were completed and presented to the Council meeting in September 2020, however at that time the audited financial statements had not been signed off by the Auditor General. Those statements were received in October 2020 and went to Council for the final adoption.

An ad advertising the Annual Report is now available was placed in the Geelong Advertiser on Saturday 28 November, and will also be included in the Golden Plains Times on Thursday 3 December.
