Grants and funding opportunities
There are a number of funding opportunities available to groups, committees and residents across the Shire.
Community Grants Program
The Community Grants Program provides grants of up to $5,000 to community groups for projects that provide outcomes for the benefit of the community. Funding must be matched by the applicant organisation on a minimum $1 for $1 basis.
Gem of an Idea grants
The Health Promotion Program currently has funding available for Health & Wellbeing "Gem of an Idea" grants. These small grants of up to $500 are available for non profit community groups to undertake projects or activities aimed at promoting community connections, good nutrition, physical activity and/ or mental wellbeing - learn more here.

Residents and groups in Golden Plains also have access to grants provided by other levels of government. Learn more here.
Both State and Federal Governments offer a wide range of information and services for small and home based businesses, including advice about grants available for your business and the process to obtain them.
