Young Musicians Invited to Take The Stage

FREEZA Summer Sessions
Youth

Council is calling on young musicians aged 12 to 25 years to participate in the Golden Plains Youth FReeZA Summer Sessions event on Saturday 18 February, 2023.

Young musicians, bands and digital artists from across the Shire are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to apply to take the stage at Golden Plains Shire’s biggest free youth event.

The FReeZA Summer Sessions event is a showcase of young up and coming artists, inclusive of all genres, with bands, soloists, duo performances and digital artists all welcome to register.

The youth-led event is presented by the FReeZA Youth Events Crew and is designed to support emerging musicians by providing a safe and inclusive opportunity to perform in front of a live audience.

Young people aged 12 to 25 are invited to attend the event which will be held at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre on Saturday 18 February, 2023 from 3 until 7pm.

Mayor Cr Gavin Gamble encourages young musicians and artists from across the Shire to take the opportunity to register as a performer and hit the stage at the event.

“The FReeZa Summer Sessions event is an exciting opportunity for young performers to take the stage in front of a large, supportive audience of their peers while gaining valuable performance experience.

“Presented by FReeZA, the event not only highlights the emerging talent we have in Golden Plains but also provides young people with important development opportunities within the music and events industries. It is fantastic to see the return of live music and events to our Shire following COVID-19, and for youth to have this opportunity.

“I encourage all young people across the Shire to attend the FReeZA Summer Sessions event and show their support for the young musicians, bands and digital artists that take to the stage.”

FReeZA is a Victorian Government funded initiative that is supported by the Push Youth Music Organisation.
