In October last year, Council launched it's Super Veggie Four challenge which ran until January 2023.

The Super Veggie Four challenge was designed to encourage local children to eat three servings of vegetables a day for 30 days.

The challenge aimed to increase the understanding of healthy eating and associated health benefits, and encouraged children and families to increase their vegetable consumption by educating them on making healthy food choices.

Over 200 children participated in the challenge, and were entered in a draw to win a box of fruit and vegetables at the conclusion of the challenge.

Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham delivered two boxes of fresh fruit and vegetables from local store Shazza's Fruit and Veggies to 9-year-old Archie, who was one lucky winner of the fresh produce.

After a successful first challenge, plans are in progress to expand on the Super Veggie Four program in the near future.
