Still Time to Register Your Pool or Spa
In December 2019, the Victorian Government changed pool and spa barrier safety standards, which include new registration, inspection and certification requirements for property owners.
Under the changes, local residents are required to register their pool and spa with Golden Plains Shire by 1 June 2020, and have their safety barrier inspected once every four years.
To register, you can fill out a registration form online, download a form and fill it out by hand; or call Council’s Customer Service team at 5220 7111 for a hard copy.
When you’ve registered your pool or spa, you will receive a letter from Council confirming the next step to have it checked by a qualified practitioner.
