Join Golden Plains Shire Council in our fascination with history, and enjoy an image of Teesdale that is over 100 years old.

Dianne Hughes, local history expert, explores a piece of Teesdale history wonderfully in her compilation, 'From Native Creek to Teesdale: 1837 - 1900'.  Within the publication, many wonderful images of Teesdale from well before our time are featured. The image shared in this story is just one example of how much Teesdale (and the world!) has changed.

This photograph was taken in c.1866. at Woolbrook homestead, Native Creek ─ the area now known as Teesdale. Pictured on the lawns of this charming estate are James Bell, John and Alexander Bell on their pony, Mary Bell with her daughter Clara and her sister Clara Singer.
