Smart solar lights have been installed at Inverleigh and Teesdale as part of a trial with solar public lighting organisation, LeadSun.

A solar light has been installed in Teesdale in the carpark opposite the Teesdale General Store, 1071 Bannockburn-Shelford Road, providing safer access to pedestrians using the carpark in the evenings.

A similar solar light has also been installed in Inverleigh at the bus shelter located on Faulkner Road and Common Road intersection, providing lighting for residents using the bus shelter in the evenings.

The lights have been provided by LeadSun as part of their ‘Light It Up Now’ initiative, which includes a 60-day trial period at no cost to Council.

Council is hopeful the trial will be successful and the lights will remain in place.
