Science week sensations

Child & Family Services

Children from Council’s Family Day Care service loved being part of our National Science Week celebrations in August. Key to the fun was Professor Brains’ exciting visit to the Bannockburn Library, including a fun-filled morning of experiments, cause and effect and hands-on learning.

Over 60 children and families watched Professor Brains conduct science experiments, with children invited to participate throughout the presentation. Children were also encouraged to explore various experiences after the show, with sensory water beads, static balloon experiments and the human electricity circuit being big favourites.

Council is delighted to provide fun learning opportunities for children and local families, and looks forward to running great events and activities in the future that support child learning.
