Public Notice

Schedule 13 Permits to Burn are now available in Golden Plains Shire.

A Permit to Burn by Private Persons (Schedule 13 permit) allows landowners or their representatives to conduct stubble burning for agricultural purposes during the Fire Danger Period.

Council does not issue Schedule 13 Permits to Burn by Private Persons. To apply for a permit during the 2022/2023 Fire Danger Period, applications must be lodged at firepermits.vic.gov.au.

With large landholders undertaking stubble burning, residents may see an increase in smoke in the air.

The Fire Danger Period began on Saturday 24 December, 2022 and remains in place across Golden Plains.

To find out what you can and can't do during the Fire Danger Period, and on days of Total Fire Bans, visit the CFA's website: cfa.vic.gov.au
