The Golden Plains Twilight Market is returning for another year for an evening of food, fun and fine crafts just before Christmas.

Golden Plains Shire Council invites residents and visitors to join the festivities from 4 to 9pm on Thursday 19 December at 22 Byron Street, Bannockburn.

Generously sponsored by Bannockburn Bendigo Bank and Powershop, the Twilight Market is now in its third year, following two successful events in 2017 and 2018, each attracting more than 3,000 visitors.

An extension of the popular monthly Golden Plains Farmers’ Market, the Twilight Market is a one-stop shop for everyone’s Christmas needs, and will feature farm fresh fruit and vegetables, flowers, free range meats, vegan treats and bespoke gifts direct from the farmers, makers, artists and gourmet provedores of the Golden Plains region.

Residents will enjoy live music, great food, craft beer, wine and cocktails while they shop for Christmas supplies.

Mayor Cr Owen Sharkey says the annual Golden Plains Farmers’ Market is great edition to the local community’s festive calendar.

“The Golden Plains Twilight Market is a firm favourite of locals and a popular destination event for visitors, and it’s fantastic to see the event return for another year.”

“While you stock up on farm-fresh produce for your Christmas meals and shop for those last minute gifts, you’ll be able to enjoy live music and great food and beverages.”

“There’s really no better way to do your Christmas shopping in Golden Plains than at the Twilight Market.”

“I encourage all residents to come on down and enjoy everything the market has to offer.”
