Sanders Geophysics Survey

Sanders Geophysics Survey
Public Notice

From mid to late June (pending weather), an airborne geophysical survey will begin across Victoria, including locations within and surrounding Golden Plains.

The Australian-first survey will collect data to help improve GPS systems and help to understand the region’s geological composition.

To conduct the survey, a lightplane will be flying at between 150m (approx. 500ft) and 300m (approx. 1000ft) above the ground in parallel paths between 500 and 1000m apart across the survey area. The plane (registration C-GSGY) will be based at Lethbridge airport and operations will take place from this location.

If community members have concerns or queries, please contact the Crew Chief, Andrew Palmer on 0405 904 862.
