Golden Plains Shire Council advises that Geggies Road and Bells Road will be closed at Rokewood-Shelford Road across Monday 19 December to Wednesday 21 December, weather permitting.
These full closures are required to complete asphalting works as part of intersection upgrades in preparation for construction of the Golden Plains Wind Farm.
Geggies Road at the Rokewood-Shelford Road intersection is expected to be closed for 24 to 36 hours from Monday 19 December. Bells Road at the Rokewood-Shelford Road intersection is expected to be closed for 24 to 36 hours from Tuesday 20 December. These closures only apply to the local roads, not Rokewood-Shelford Road.
Geggies and Bells Road will still be accessible from the south at Shelford-Cressy Road.
All roads within the work area will have a reduced speed limit of 40km/h for the duration of the works. Drivers are advised to travel safely, obey reduced speed limits and the directions of traffic controllers, and be considerate of road workers and other traffic.
Construction activity will be reduced over the Christmas period from 24 December to 11 January, with only minor works taking place during this time.
