8 June Council Meeting to be held virtually

In line with remaining COVID-19 restrictions for regional Victoria, the scheduled Council Meeting on Tuesday 8 June will now be held on Zoom, with submitters on the Draft Council Plan, Draft Council Budget and Review of Mayoral and Councillor Allowances able to present virtually. As the meeting will be held over Zoom, members of the public are unable to attend in-person, however, the meeting will be livestreamed on Council’s website and YouTube page.

Change to June Council Meeting Date

At its 25 May 2021 Council Meeting, Golden Plains Shire Council agreed to change the date of its regular June Council Meeting from Tuesday 22 June, 2021 to Tuesday 29 June, 2021.

The change is due to the Mayor attending the National General Assembly of Local Government in Canberra on Tuesday 22 June, 2021.

The 29 June 2021 Meeting will be held at 6pm in the Golden Plains Civic Centre, 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn and will include the recommended adoption of the Golden Plains Shire Council Plan 2021-2025 and Golden Plains Shire Council Budget 2021-2022.

The agenda will be published on Friday 25 June, 2021, and the meeting will be livestreamed on Council’s website and YouTube page.

Notice of Approval of Amendment: Amendment C87gpla

The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C87gpla to the Golden Plains Planning Scheme.

The Amendment comes into operation on the date this notice is published in the Victoria Government Gazette.

The Amendment implements the recommendations of the Inverleigh Structure Plan (Golden Plains, 2019) by amending Clause 02.03-1 (Settlement) and Clause 11.03-6L (Inverleigh), deletes the Schedule to Clause 32.03-3 Low Density Residential Zone (LDRZ), inserts new Schedule 1 to Clause 32.03-3 LDRZ and includes the Inverleigh Structure Plan (Golden Plains, 2019) as a background document at Clause 72.08.

A copy of the Amendment can be inspected, free of charge, at the Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning website at www.planning.vic.gov.au/public-inspection or by contacting 1800 789 386 and free of charge, during office hours, at Golden Plains Shire Council website www.goldenplains.vic.gov.au; or during office hours at the offices of the Golden Plains Shire Council, 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn.

Council to hold unscheduled virtual meeting - 16 April 2021

Golden Plains Shire Council will hold an unscheduled virtual meeting at 3pm today, Friday 16 April, 2021 to consider a petition on the Rokewood Uniting Church.

Council will consider the following reports for decision:

  • Leave to consider a Petition and E-Petition – Rokewood Uniting Church – 60 Ferrars Street, Rokewood;
  • Receive and note a Petition and E-Petition – Rokewood Uniting Church – 60 Ferrars Street, Rokewood;
  • Heritage Designation – Rokewood Uniting Church – 60 Ferrars Street, Rokewood; and
  • Potential Compulsorily Acquisition – Rokewood Uniting Church – 60 Ferrars Street, Rokewood.

Councillors will participate in the meeting virtually under the provisions of the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 legislation. The meeting will be accessible to members of the public through the livestream on Council’s website and YouTube page.

The Council agenda and link to the livestream are now available on Council’s website at goldenplains.vic.gov.au/meetings. Due to extraordinary circumstances existing, the agenda was not available before this time.
