New Committee To Activate Linton Community Hub

Linton

The new Committee of Management for the Linton Community Hub have held their first few meetings on future ideas for the historic building.

Locals were invited to help guide the management, activation and future use of the building through an EOI process during December and January to establish the Committee of Management. Following this process, eight community members have formed the new committee, which met for the first time in February. Council looks forward to seeing how the group will re-activate the space for the Linton community.

Once home to the old Shire of Grenville, the historic building in the heart of Linton was most recently used as a limited Customer Service Centre, meeting space and office for Council. Following an upgrade to Council’s Smythesdale Customer Service Centre at The Well to allow for a full-time service, customer services were transitioned out of the Linton Shire Hall.

Congratulations to the new committee members!
