Bannockburn
Council has entered into a joint venture with Sport and Recreation Victoria to reconstruct the existing netball courts at Victoria Park, Bannockburn, which have safety issues and are non-compliant.
There will be two new compliant netball courts and a new multi-purpose area that will include netball goals, basketball towers and soccer goals with all the required line marking to suit. Sports lighting will be installed too which will enable night matches and training.
This is great news for the community, with Council committed to increasing opportunities for people to be active and enjoy sport in a safe environment.
Detailed design is currently underway with construction scheduled to commence early in 2019.
