Merry Christmas from Golden Plains Shire Council

Christmas photo 22

Christmas is a special time of the year when families come together and celebrate what is important to them. Council is spreading festive cheer across the Shire with Santa signage at our township entry signs and a range of community events throughout the holiday period.

Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham said this year will be a special time for families as we start to socialise more with family and loved ones.

We know for many in our community, this year has been particularly challenging with the recent floods, but Council have endeavoured to continue to support our community and will continue to do so now and into the future.

We know everyone has felt the impacts and we want to take a moment to say, ‘thank you’.  Thank you for working with Council, for listening (even when the news wasn’t great) and thank you for doing your best.  We really appreciate it.

We are proud to have shared in many successes throughout 2022 and look forward to continuing to deliver a sustainable future for our community again in 2023.

From everyone here at Golden Plains Shire Council, we want to wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy New Year!
