The Meredith Interpretive Centre at 12 Wallace Street, Meredith was reopened to all users on Friday 9 September following the completion of septic upgrade works.

The works were undertaken to decommission and remove the previous septic system at the facility and install a new treatment and dispersal system.

The new system supports the growing number of users of the Interpretive Centre and ensures the public toilets can manage the increase in use that has occurred due to the popularity of the neighbouring community garden.

Further tidy up works around the area are also scheduled to be undertaken in the coming months pending weather conditions.

The $42,000 Meredith Interpretive Centre Septic Upgrade was fully funded by the Australian Government’s Local Roads and Community Infrastructure (LRCI) Program.
