The Maude, She Oaks & Steiglitz Community Plan 2022-2026 (the Plan) will be officially launched at the Maude Community Event on Sunday 12 November.

Maude, She Oaks & Steiglitz (MSOS) Community Coordinators developed the Plan through Council’s Community Planning Program, as well as utilising the talents and connections of interested locals. The program included an engagement process designed to consult with the MSOS communities to identify key priorities and actions.

The Plan has identified activities and projects that the community were invested in and will now focus on delivering through a number of projects in the coming years.

Council’s Community Planning Program supports the betterment of all residents, current and future, and all local residents can reach out to the MSOS Committee to get involved in projects.

Community members are invited to the Maude Community Event on Sunday 12 November from 10am to 2pm at Bunjil Lookout to hear about the Plan.

Towns which have recently completed Community Plans include Shelford, Dereel, Maude/She Oaks/Steiglitz, Inverleigh and Teesdale. In August 2023, Mannibadar, Cape Clear/Illabrook/Rokewood Junction, Linton, Meredith, Bannockburn and Garibaldi began their Community Planning process.

All towns in the recent round received up to $10,000 in Council's Community Planning Seed funding which is a specific funding stream available to communities undertaking the Community Planning Program.

This funding can assist the implementation of projects identified on the community plan actioned by residents and can also be used to leverage or source additional funding through the Victorian State Government and Federal Government, philanthropic organisations or provide funds to undertake further fundraising opportunities.
