Community members in Maude, She Oaks and Steiglitz are invited to attend a public meeting to help shape the Community Plan for the next four years.

The previous Community Plan for Maude, She Oaks and Steiglitz was adopted in August 2017 and concluded in August 2020.

Residents are also invited to identify and prioritise local projects to guide the development of the Community Plan by completing the Community Plan Survey.

All Maude, She Oaks and Steiglitz residents are invited to attend the public meeting at the Maude Community Hall, on Sunday 19 March from 2pm where the responses from the Community Plan Survey will be discussed and collated with any other ideas from local residents.

Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham recognises that locals know best what their communities need and want, and the more engaged community members, the better outcomes for the Community Plans.

I encourage Maude, She Oaks and Steiglitz residents to take these exciting opportunities to get involved and help shape the plan for their local community.

Council’s Community Planning program brings residents together to develop and implement initiatives to improve their own communities and I encourage all community members connect with their local Community Plan.

Community Planning is a Council program that enables local residents to create a shared vision for their local community and build on the connection between communities and local government. It is a process where members of the community come together to identify their values, what’s important about where they live and what they would like to see happen in their community in the future.

The Community Planning Program is a program supported by Council which provides the framework to assist communities to develop, implement and acquit four-year Community Plans.

For further information on the Community Plan Survey, or the public meeting, please contact Community Coordinator Cathy on 0425 729 420 or David on 0414 149 047.

To discuss the Community Planning program please contact Council’s Community Partnerships Officer on 5220 7111 or email [email protected].
