Local artists Horse Under the Radar, Ivy Parkinson, What the Fuzz and Molly Inglis will join special guests The Jurgens at the upcoming FReeZA Summer Sessions event to be held at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre on Saturday 18 February from 3 until 7pm.

The youth-led event, presented by the FReeZA Youth Events Crew is a showcase of young up and coming artists from across the Shire and is designed to support emerging musicians by providing a safe and inclusive opportunity to perform in front of a live audience.

Young people aged 12 to 25 are invited to attend the event and enjoy the live performances from the emerging local talent who will take the stage alongside Geelong and Surf Coast born four piece rock band, the Jurgens.

Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham said the FReeZA Summer Sessions is set to be a fun-filled event for young people in the Shire.

“The FReeZa Summer Sessions event is an exciting opportunity for young performers to take the stage in front of a large, supportive audience of their peers while gaining valuable performance experience.

“The FReeZA Summer Sessions event will be a great day out and truly highlights the incredible talent we have right here in Golden Plains. I would encourage all young people to take the opportunity to attend and throw their support behind the young performers who will be taking the stage on the day.

“It is fantastic to see the return of events such as the FReeZA Summer Sessions following COVID-19, and the FReeZA Summer Sessions is a chance for our young people to come together and once again enjoy live music and events right here in the Shire.”

A strictly drug, alcohol and smoke free event, the FReeZA Summer Sessions will be held at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre, 25-27 High Street, Bannockburn on Saturday 18 February from 3 until 7pm.

FReeZA is a Victorian Government funded initiative that is supported by the Push Youth Music Organisation that supports young Victorians to get involved in their community by planning and running drug, smoke and alcohol-free music and cultural events for other young people.
