Golden Plains Shire Council advises that the Linton-Piggoreet Road Bridge across the Woady Yaloak River is closed for reconstruction works due to recent flood damage.
Linton-Piggoreet Road is also closed to all traffic between Golden Lake Road and Piggoreet Road, with water barriers currently in place around the bridge to prevent access to the site.
Reconstruction works are scheduled to begin in the coming weeks and will be ongoing for several months.
Alternate routes will be provided to residents wishing to travel to Devil’s Kitchen, with access from Pitfield-Scarsdale Road. Advisory signs will be in place to direct traffic to alternate routes.
Residents are advised to drive safely and follow the directions of signage when travelling in the area.
Update July 2023
This project will be presented to Council at its meeting on 25 July 2023 to adopt tender for design and construction of a replacement structure. Works are projected to be completed before end of the year.
