Increase in Reported Dog Attacks

Community Safety

Council’s Community Safety team has recently seen an increase in reported dog attacks across the Shire.

Sadly, these attacks have resulted in lost lives of dogs, sheep and chickens/roosters, as well as serious injury to dogs, sheep, and horses.

Community members are reminded and strongly encouraged to keep their dogs on a leash for the safety and wellbeing of all animals and residents in the Shire, and to ensure dogs are kept inside your property with secure fences and closed gates.
