Golden Plains Community Impressed with Children's Services

Golden Plains Shire community members have given Council’s Children’s Services the tick of approval with positive results from the latest Children’s Services User Satisfaction Survey.

The annual survey assesses Council’s performance in its Kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health and Family Day Care programs. Of the nearly 200 respondents, more than 90 per cent expressed that these programs either met or exceeded their expectations.

The Survey revealed that Children’s Services staff were commended for their professionalism, approachability, and deep understanding of individual children’s needs.

Key highlights include:

  • 94 per cent of respondents felt that kindergarten staff effectively addressed their concerns.
  • 92 per cent were satisfied or highly satisfied with their interactions with Family Day Care educators.
  • And 93 per cent were satisfied or highly satisfied with the approachability of all teams and the understanding of their child’s needs.

Golden Plains Shire Council Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham praised the dedication of the Children’s Services team citing these survey results as a testament to their commitments to delivering high-quality services to families in the community.

“This feedback is really encouraging and will guide Council in enhancing the delivery of Kindergarten, Maternal and Child Heath, and Family Day Care services, while adapting to the evolving needs of the growing community s,” Cr Cunningham said.

“The results highlight the significance of these strong satisfaction levels, to ensure all children, families and carers continue to receive a quality experience."
