Golden Plains Shire Council is excited to announce two free movie afternoon events in February 2024 courtesy of the Victorian Government’s Crime Prevention Strategy.
Join us for these exciting community events:
- On Saturday 17 February from 1 to 5pm at the Cape Clear Recreation Hall, Recreation Road, Cape Clear, featuring the movie ‘Lilo & Stitch’ and
- On Saturday 24 February from 1 to 5pm at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre, 27 High Street, Bannockburn, featuring ‘The Lego Movie.’
Join us for a delightful afternoon where you can experience a fun movie, indulge in diverse food truck delights, enjoy face painting, an animal petting zoo, and live music.
Golden Plains Shire Council Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham encouraged young people and families to attend the movie afternoons.
We extend a warm invitation to families and community members across the Shire to come along with your family, grab some popcorn, and settle in for an afternoon full of entertainment you won’t want to miss,” Cr Cunningham said.
These events play a crucial role in fostering pro-social behaviour and positive community engagement among young people, their families and friends,” he said.
