Footpath Upgrades to Begin in Teesdale

Teesdale footpath

Council continues to work to improve and repair footpaths at locations within Golden Plains Shire, with works to commence in Teesdale next week.

Works to improve the asphalt footpath along Bannockburn-Shelford Road in Teesdale will be completed in stages, with the first stage to commence from the corner of Tolson Road to Don Wallace Reserve on Monday 13 February, 2023. Works are expected to be completed by mid-to-late May, 2023.

Works to improve the asphalt footpath along Yellow Gum Drive in Teesdale will commence between Box Court and Banksia Place on Monday 13 February, 2023. These works are expected to be completed by mid-to-late May, 2023.

Residents are advised to take extra precautions when using the footpaths and nature strips.

Council regularly works to identify upgrade projects, through hazard inspections, accident statistics and feedback from the community, as well as in locations where there are increased traffic movements around schools, recreation and community facilities or new developments that create increased pedestrian movements.

To report a footpath or road issue, please contact Council’s Customer Experience Team on 5220 7111 or report the issue online at goldenplains.vic.gov.au/submit-request.
